They offer a lot of functions and many users are already accustomed to handling devices like smartphones. However their use while driving is considered dangerous, since they don't provide haptic feedback and a driver would need to lower his gaze away from the road. This Thesis analyses if a HUD would improve the user safety, by directly display the contents of a Touchscreen device, while maintaing the handling comfort. Therefore a study was conducted , for which a musicplayer application was created. Managing music is a popular tertiary activity of drivers and has the possibilty of testing many different functions on a touchscreen device. In the user study participants conducted different tasks on a touchscreen device while driving with a simulator. Every task was repeated with the help of a HUD and without one. For every variation, the car deviation, reaction time, task duration and error count was determined. Due to the small number of 7 participants no signifikant result could be achieved, however in most cases the variants with HUD had worse values as those without. Specifally the tasks with HUD needed almost always longer to be completed. Still in most cases the variants with HUD was preferred by the participants, for this reason the count and duration of gaze deviation should be considered in future studies.}}, address = {Innstra{\ss}e 43, 94032 Passau, Germany}, school = {Lehrstuhl f\"{u}r Informatik mit Schwerpunkt Eingebettete Systeme, Universit\"{a}t Passau}, type = {Bachelor's Thesis}, }
